At the end of 2018, the export of hazelnuts from Georgia decreased by 30.5% compared with 2017. This was reported by the KazakhZerno News Agency.
According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia, the export volume of hazelnuts (shelled and inshelled) in monetary terms in 2018 amounted to $ 57,265.5 thousand (including shelled $ 55 million 283.7 thousand), or 1.7% of total Georgian exports over the same period.
Asian Fruits recalls that the export of hazelnuts in 2017 amounted to $ 82 million 344.6 thousand in value terms, or 3.0% of Georgia’s exports.
